Design Brief:

Create a fully custom co-ed Vegas team jersey for Chalk Dust with bright colors and a fun, creative look built around the team name.

Incorporate the team’s updated name, Rock Chalk Dust, using a Kansas-inspired crimson, blue and gold color palette while capturing the overall Jayhawk spirit without using official KU logos or trademarks.

Include elements representing their Double Jeopardy 8-ball and 9-ball team, with room to explore original mascot, chalk/dust and skeleton-inspired concepts.

The team wanted the spirit of a Kansas Jayhawk-inspired design without using any official KU logos or trademarks. That meant creating something completely original while still capturing the collegiate energy, color palette and personality they had in mind.

 

We developed a custom bird mascot in crimson, blue and gold, then incorporated a pool cue so the artwork connected directly back to the team and the sport. The result gave Rock Chalk Dust its own identity rather than relying on existing university artwork.

FINAL RESULT

The finished jersey leans into a classic collegiate look, using bold crimson, blue and gold, varsity-style lettering, striped sleeve details, and the custom bird mascot to create a design that feels spirited and recognizable without relying on official university artwork.

 

The “Rock Chalk Dust” name becomes part of the visual identity itself, giving the team a playful nod to the inspiration behind the concept while keeping the final jersey completely original and built for the pool table.

The result keeps the energy and personality of the concept while transforming it into an original team identity made for the pool table.
